Easy Raw Food Diet

book_cover_webOne of the reasons I wrote Eating for Energy was that I needed an easy raw food diet to follow!

I mean, once I started discovering the powerful benefits of raw foods I dove in an tried tons of different recipes and read lots of great raw food books.

But the same thing kept coming up – the damn recipes took so long to prepare!

I’m sure you can relate. Who on earth wants to prepare a raw meal that needs to be dehydrated for 24-48 hours? Sure, a lot of them taste great but that time consuming really turned me off.

That’s why in Eating for Energy all 120 raw food recipes take less than 10 minutes to prepare. It’s an easy to follow (and quick) approach to the raw food diet.

Here are a few strategies you can employ to make the raw food diet easier for you:

1. Make it and Eat it Right Away

This includes salads, wraps, smoothies, and juices. Making these kinds of foods will ensure that you use fresh ingredients and that you consume your preparation as soon as possible. Doing so will save you time and enhance the nutrient quality of the foods.

2. Nibble

Who says you need to make elaborate raw food recipes anyway? There’s nothing wrong with going rabbit on your food and nibbling on some nuts, seeds, fruit, and veggies throughout your day. You may even find yourself less hungry by doing so. Just make sure you get a good variety of foods to ensure the widest spectrum of nutrients.

3. Drink Your Meals

This kind of ties into my first point but your life will be so much easier if you blend and juice more of your meals. Personally, about 75% of my diet consists of smoothies and green juices. They’re just so easy to prepare, are packed full of nutrition, and they taste great!

Give these 3 tips a shot and start enjoying raw foods – the easy way!
