I’m a big fan of healthy smoothies. They’re such an easy way to get tons of great nutrition in an easy to digest format. I also like bananas. And it just so happens that I’ve got 2 amazing banana smoothies that I’m going to share with you today.
These are truly my 2 favourite smoothies of all time. They are so good! These come straight from the 120 raw food recipes included in my book, Eating for Energy.
Chocolate Peanut Butter Monkey
1 banana
1-2 tbsp peanut butter
2-3 tbsp dried shredded coconut (optional but amazing)
1-2 tbsp raw cacao
2 cups water (or rice/nut milk)

I saved the best for last. What makes this smoothie so good is the inclusion of fresh young coconut. If there’s one “nut” everyone should incorporate into their raw food diet, it’s coconut. So many nutritional benefits and healthy fats.
1 banana
Water from 1 young coconut
1 cup cashews
2-3 tbsp young coconut meat
1-2 dates
