Who says green smoothies have to taste bad?
I sure don’t!
In fact, I’m on a mission to show you just how good a green smoothie can taste. When you combine the tremendous alkalinity and overall nutrition that greens provide, coupled with good taste, you just can’t go wrong.
Here is one my favourite green drinks:
Here are the ingredients:
kale
1/4 pineapple
1 banana
1 cup of berries (of your choice)
1 tbsp flax or fish oil
1 tbsp spirulina
2 cups water
Blend it all together and enjoy!



I can tolerate the spinach (my fav is spinach and pear) but tried kale and swiss chard and both tastes bothered me… hope it gets better!
Hey Kim,
Try adding a bit of agave to sweeten the drink and mask the kale.
Otherwise, just give it some time for your palette to readjust.
Green smoothies are awesome. I love them and can’t imagine my life without them. YUM!

Will definitely try this combination – am just trying spirulina for the first time this week. Like the comment you made to the person above regarding giving your palette time to readjust. We have to remember who’s in control as well as everything that tastes good, certainly isn’t good for us. My body is now sitting back saying, “OK – hit me with your best shot – I am pumped about being healthier!” I am LOVING my green drinks!
