Eating For Energy-How To focus To Obtain Results

August 5th, 2010

chronicstressMany of us dream of having that Perfect Body or even just being able to have better health in general. Pierrette & I wondered for the longest time why we were always unable to “focus” on a particular dream or goal.

We looked at it from the inside out and tried to understand why our bodies seemed to be unable to sustain constant “focus” on achieving consistent results. You know what I mean, you see the stars on “TV” and wonder, how do they do that? You read stories of success, by seemingly ordinary people just like you and you wonder, what is missing in me to do that?

We have talked and interviewed hundreds of people and found that most of us share very common traits. We all seem to have an ability to dream big dreams, set written goals and take pictures of them. We all understand the mechanics behind setting deadlines and taking action.

If most of us understand” how”, know “why” we need to have dreams, seemingly have the answers  to most of the questions, why do most of us “fail” at obtaining the results we want?

We searched for a common denominator that seems to make it next to impossible to realize our full potential when it comes to obtaining the things we really want out of life. Why?

Stay with me here, “FOCUS”

There are many answers to that statement but it all starts with our inability to “focus”. Yes our inability to send a constant message to our brain to have it convert those dreams into reality.

Many of you have read the book “The Secret” by Rhonda Byrne  that puts forth the well know vision about the Law of Attraction. Why do we read such books, get all pumped up, and yet some few short weeks later are exactly where we were before, no where, still looking for the magic bullet that will help us realize what we can only dream of.

We then asked ourselves the question,”What is our brain doing that is preventing it from maintaining “focus” on our dreams?” What is more important than making us rich, starting that new business, becoming a singing star or a pro-athlete?

Well, we found the answer. “Our brain is to busy taking care of other bodily functions and has no time left over to give in to all those whims that are circulating in our brain”.

  • Why do Lions sleep(rest) up to 20 hours or more a day? Ask Google
  • Why do bears hibernate for up to 100 days? Ask Google

Stay with me here, “FOCUS”.

Eating For Energy instead of eating just to fill our bellies is the answer to all these questions. Our ability to focus is deterred because we eat so poorly and our brains “focus” is on getting all that food through our bodies and keeping us alive.

Eating For Energy will give you all the nutritional advice you need in order to take pressure away from your brain and help it do what you want it to do. Pierrette calls it a “switch” that turns on or off, depending on how you feed yourself.

Eat junk and your body focuses on digestion and how it is going to get all that “Junk” in and out of your system. Eat the wrong food combinations and your mind “Focuses” on separating the good from the bad. Do you understand?

One of the first things we realized by following Yuri’s advice was, that we had all this energy left over to concentrate on others things.

  1. Wow, that was a big AHA moment for us.
  2. Goals became clearer, and we realized that we had time to spare.
  3. We sleep more soundly.
  4. We digest faster and eliminate better…

Yes, Eating For Energy by Yuri Elkaim can be the beginning of all those dreams you have in the back of your mind, just waiting to jump out and “Grab” you…

Stay with me here,”FOCUS”.

Make sure you have a copy of Eating For Energy on your computer or on your kitchen table. It will give you the time and Energy to take the first steps.”Focus”,”Focus”,…

Pierrette & I believe that Eating For Energy is the first step you need to take in order to concentrate on all the others outlined by Yuri on your journey to Perfect Health, and more.

Eating For Energy-Trying Something New-Benefits

August 2nd, 2010

FreshFruitSmoothieTrying something new using the “Eating For Energy” book as become common-place in our home.

When you eat for the right reasons, the food combinations become a game for good health. “How can I get the best drink with the most benefits”, is fun to play and very good tasting. If your lifestyle is fast paced and you always want foods that taste great, don’t be afraid, everything smoothie you make will seem better than the last.

Taste buds seem to improve as our energy level increases. Funny things happen in your mind. It is as though your body cravings search for really healthy foods. Therefore your energy levels are forever increasing.

Here is a new smoothie Pierrette invented this morning: the ingredients are the following

  1. 1/2 Fresh pineapple
  2. 1 pear(pealed and cubed)
  3. 2 bananas(medium size) use fresh or frozen
  4. 2 Tablespoon of ground flax seeds
  5. 1 small slice of Ginger(fresh)
  6. 1 cup of water/ice-Depends on how cold you like your smoothie

Directions: Put all the ingredients together in your high speed blender and let it go. Yields 2 x 14 oz glasses of incredible colors and aroma.

We have juiced pineapple and pear before and found it great but Pierrette wanted to add bananas and make a smoothie.mmm Wait till you taste this.

After you have had this drink just go to Google, yes right on top, and search for the benefits of each ingredient. You will be amazed at all the nutrition you get.

Remember, fruits act as cleansers and vegetables are builders.

Drinks like this take less then 10 minutes to prepare, you can mix and match with what you have in your refrigerator and you can leave the dishes in the sink till you get home(or dishwasher).

Off to work now, just had to let you know. Let me know how long the energy level sustains you after having a great drink like this compared to your normal breakfast.

Eating For Energy is all about saving time to give you quality time for you.

Is Sprouted Grain Bread Good?

June 28th, 2010

For many people, bread is simply bread. It is white and it comes from the grocery store. It is used for sandwiches and toast, and little else. It is brand name and cheaply prices, pre-sliced and the less time you take to actually read the ingredients, the better off you’ll be.

Of course, most people who eat a raw food diet, or even a somewhat healthy diet, would not touch that bleached white bread with a ten foot bread knife. It is full of chemicals and artificial everything, as is as close to a nutritional wasteland as you can find in the pastry section of a supermarket.

Some people will simply switch to a different kind of bread – be it rye, whole wheat, or some other variation. But instead of looking for something else in the grocery store to fill the place of that phony bread, why not go a completely different – and incredibly healthy – direction and try to make your own sprouted grain bread.

Of course, the first question people will ask, when told about sprouted grain bread, is not questions about the preparation, the cost or ever a description of what exactly such a bread would look like. No, the first question, inevitably, is the question of just how good would bread like this taste?

Is sprouted bread good? If you are talking taste, then the answer is yes. Instead of consuming a baked mass of processed and bleached wheat that offers very little in the way of flavor or texture, a slice of sprouted bread is like the difference between a light bulb and the sun. Sprouted breads can be made from a single source of sprouted grain if you want a particular flavor, or from a variety of germinated nuts and seeds if you want to experience a variety within every bite.

If you are asking if sprouted grain bread is good for you, the answer once again is yes. The average mass-produced loaf of bread offers little in the way of nutrients, unless the producer has added in a few vitamins after the fact to try to make their product “health conscious”. Raw sprouted breads, on the other hand, have all of the vitamins and nutrients found in the young plants used to produce the bread. None have been killed off in the cooking process, and nothing good has been bleached away. Sprouted breads contain living food enzymes to aide in digestion and absorption; fiber to keep the body regular; and for those who suffer from wheat or gluten allergies, there are many forms of sprouted breads that can be eaten without fear of causing a negative reaction.

And if you are asking if sprouted grain bread is good for everyday use, the answer is a very big yes. This sort of homemade bread can be used for anything you would normally use bread for. You can make your own sandwiches for lunches, serve it with pasta at dinner, or load it up with homemade nut butter for a tasty snack any time of the day.

How to Lose Weight With Eating for Energy 2

May 31st, 2010

My vision of weight loss has been dramatically changed with Eating for Energy. I have stopped looking for a magic bullet and decided to put my faith in me. What I mean is that learning about me has to be “my” concern. I really needed to have a plan and stop relying on others to decide for me.

In order to complete this mission I needed to make some very important decisions:

  1. How important was my health to me?
  2. What do I need to learn to come to grips with my health, body image and my vision for the future of my overall Body, Mind and Spirit?
  3. How do I stop relying on others to solve my problems?

Finding Eating for Energy was a Godsend because it gave me the information I needed to know without going back to school and starting all over again. My Health is so important that I needed to find a Guide to guide me with the “learning about me process”. The #1 benefit of buying Eating for Energy is that you have a guide, a constant companion on your journey to your ideal vision of you.

Every word written in this book was written just for me and my positive attitude about myself really inspired me to believe in me again. This was the beginning of realizing how important my health was to me.

The next step was all about what I needed to learn. This second step was the most difficult because of all the preconceived ideas I already had.

  • I just needed to accept my naivety and put my trust in someone that was or seemed to be knowledgeable.
  • Reading Yuri’s story gave me the confidence I needed to go forward.
  • His 6 part e-course intro “Energy Secrets”  inspired the confidence in him I needed to have. Giving knowledge for free was inspiring to me. Thank you Yuri.
  • It gave me a chance to get “to know him” before realizing that I was the problem, not him.
  • Learning just one thing I did not know was all it took. It made me sit back and ask myself what I was doing here. It worked.

The final step was to finally “accept my responsibility” to me.

  1. I could only be healthy if “I” wanted to.
  2. I can eat Raw and not dead foods only if I get the point, and I did. The benefits are for my body.
  3. Eating for Energy is all about me, not Yuri.
  4. My health is my own and his guidance is a gift to me.

Eating for Energy is a life experience you need to share with”yourself”.

Join Pierrette & I and many others that finally understood what to do. Losing weight and good health is your responsibility, to you.

Do You Listen To Your Body When It Grumbles?

May 21st, 2010

stomachDo you ever take the time and listen to what your body is telling you – or do you just ignore it and pretend those grumbling digestive sounds don’t belong to you?

Now the reason I ask is because most people don’t listen to what their body is telling them.

As Yuri explains in his book – Eating for Energy - feeling tired or bloated after a meal is not normal. These type of symptoms can actually indicate a myriad of possible digestive issues – including those funny little ‘noises’ that seem to escape every now and then!!

Most people cruise through life eating whatever they want – whenever they want. (And I must admit, this was me for many, many years!) But what makes this so bad, is that most don’t fully understand what they’re doing to their body’s internal environment – and the damage that they’re causing.

So if you keep doing this year after year, you are essentially causing wear and tear on your body and this is definitely NOT GOOD!

And just like Yuri explains in his book Eating for Energy - you really do need to listen to your body because your body will tell you exactly what it needs. (And it’s not a cheeseburger, coke and fries …)

So whenever you’ve got hunger pains – don’t ignore them. It’s your body’s way of telling you that it needs more energy.

And this also applies in reverse – when you’re not hungry. If your tummy is satisfied then don’t keep stuffing it with more. You have to let your body get the chance to digest this food properly otherwise it can lead to tummy aches and even malnutrition, as your cells are unable to absorb vital nutritients from the food.

So despite what your mother or grandmother may have told you in the past – you do not have to finish everything that is on your plate!

If you’re full – you’re full. It’s time to ‘down tools’ and just enjoy feeling satisfied.

To your good health,

Audra Starkey
