Perfect Health-Free at Last,Yes Free At Last

December 2nd, 2010

When you worry about your past, look at your present and wonder about your future, you should always remember one very important lesson. “Is being healthy such an unhealthy thing?”

After living in fear for so many years, Eating for Energy has shown me the way back to Perfect Health. Why is it that so many of us accept being unhealthy? The more people I talk to the more I find resistance to being healthy. Is that normal? I do not think so.

Their seems to be more and more acceptance that being obese or severely overweight is just a new lifestyle. Many teens today seem to ride this train to nowhere. They follow trends in magazines that cater to them and assume they are part of a new trend that accepts them for what they have become,”Unhealthy!” WOW.

Eating fruits and vegetables seems to be  ”dirty” words. Sorry for the misuse of know grammar rules but maybe time has come to wake up the past and bring back some good old common sense.

Eating for Energy is breaking the barriers and we need to wake up before it is too late. Obesity, diabetes, hearth disease, asthma… are becoming vocabulary of the day. Incredible!

I play hockey once a week with a group of mainly 10 to 12 year old kids that have not learned yet that “being unhealthy is the new healthy of the day”. When I tell them that I am 58 years old going on 30 they do not understand. All they know is that this grandpa they are playing with still has a lot of gas to burn.

If any of you are still wondering what all the buzz is about, please go ahead and buy Yuri’s book. It is the main reason you are reading this right now. Take the time to see why I am shouting as loud as I can, “Free at Last, Yes Free At Last.

Eating for Energy Thanksgiving Special

November 22nd, 2010

I’ve got a great Eating for Energy Thanksgiving special for you!

But before I get to that let me tell why I’m doing this and why you NEED what I’m about to share with you…

The simple truth is that we eat more during the holidays. As a result, most people tend to put on a few extra pounds each time Thanksgiving rolls around (no pun intended).

In fact, a recent study in Nutrition Journal revealed that participants gained a significant amount of weight (0.5 kg) during the 3-4 days of Thanksgiving.

While an increase in weight of half a kilogram may not be cause for alarm, the increase could have potential long-term health consequences if people retain this weight gain throughout the year and repeat this pattern year after year.

The study also found that because the overweight/obese participants gained the greatest amount of bodyweight during Thanksgiving, this group may be at increased risk for weight gain and further obesity development during the holiday season.

But it gets even better (and by that I mean worse)…

A 2007 report in the New York Times highlighted the fact that most research is now showing that MOST people are packing on 7-10 pounds of fat between Thanksgiving and the Christmas holidays!!!

That’s 7-10 lbs in just ONE month.

Why is this happening?

Well, it’s not rocket science – lots of food and lots of drinking.

Even the best exercise program doesn’t stand a chance against this kind of indulgence.

But it’s not just the quantity of food, it’s also the kind of food and how it’s been eaten.

Heavy proteins and starches, lots of sugar and sweets, and late night eating are just a few culprits behind holiday weight gain.

And that’s why I’ve prepared 3 INCREDIBLE GIFTS for you today.

Are you ready for them?

Here they are….

.

1. The Truth About Grains and Gluten

gluten-bread_3Dcover50With Thanksgiving comes an onslaught of food, including gluten from various grains.

Because of this gaining weight won’t be the only thing you’ll need to worry about this coming weekend…

Because did you know that gluten could very well be at the root of many of your health and weight issues?

In this interview with gluten expert, Dr. Peter Osborne, you’ll discover the symptoms of gluten intolerance, what gluten does to your body, and how to overcome gluten-related issues.

You’ll get this exclusive 30-minute interrogation in both audio format and written transcription.

Get it here <—————– ends Wednesday!

.

2. Inflammation and Immune Response to Food

inflamation_cover50Thanksgiving is one of the most “inflammatory” times of the year.
And in this interview with nutrition professional, Brad Pilon, you’ll found out exactly what that means to your immune system and your health.

Brad also reveals a ton of startling research on the effects of this ONE nutrient and a specific “way” of eating on your immune system, your ability to lose weight, and your overall health.

In fact, listening (or reading) this interview alone could save you over the holiday season! I’m serious.

Once again, you’ll get both the audio interview and written transcript to learn from.

Yours FREE when you click here <—————– ends Wednesday!

.

3. Fundamentals of Digestion

digestfundamentalWhatever you decide to eat over the holidays is up to you…

Eating For Energy-Perfect Health Smoothie Benefits

November 3rd, 2010

Response to yesterdays article,”Eating For Energy-Simple Breakfast Idea-Made Simple” created quite a stir at home. Pierrette asked me,”When was the last time you had your kids eating 3 fruit for breakfast?”

The smoothie I told you about yesterday was actually one I created for my daughter. She just had a tooth pulled and needed energy without any danger of getting anything caught in the new hole in her mouth. We all know how kids are, right? This was my chance to make a healthy drink and keep her honest about her commitment to maintain great health. Well, she loved it and she asked me,“Dad, what energy does a smoothie give us?

Two questions from the inside and many more on the net. I guess many of you need to learn more about breakfast, smoothies, energy.

We often assume and take for granted the knowledge we have learned from our parents and teachers. Our kids should know the benefits of fruit, don’t they? Are your kids getting all the advantages of 3 fruits most days of the week? They should. Having a smoothie in the morning is the best healthy way to ensure the vitamin and mineral content they need to get their day off with a bang. Read the following and learn about the goodness of healthy, raw fruits:http://www.perfectsmoothie.com/benefits-daily-smoothie/

Eating For Energy-Simple Breakfast Idea-Made Simple

November 2nd, 2010

Eating healthy does not have to be complicated. Sometimes we get caught up in the old,”don’t have the time routine”  in the morning. Well let’s keep it as simple as possible.

Here is a great boost to your morning made super easy:

Smoothie 101 made easy: Serves 1

What you need: a blender with just a couple of speeds will do. They are on sale everywhere, all the time.

1 banana, any size will do. A little ripe is best.

1 pear, any size. They are available all over the world most of the year.

1 peach, any size is great. Available in most stores, year round.

Water to taste for smoothie consistency. Please everyone in the family with this ingredient.

1 or 2 cubes of ice. Again this is in order to please everyone. Some like it cooler than others.

Preparation:

  1. Peel the banana(fresh or frozen), cut in bite size pieces and add to the blender.
  2. Peel the pear, cut in two and remove heart, cut in bite size pieces and add to banana in blender.
  3. Peel the peach and cut into bite size pieces, remove the center core, add pieces to the banana and pear in the blender.
  4. Add a little water and ice to taste, temperature and smoothness and “voila“(there you have it).
  5. Sorry, I forgot, turn on the blender just for 1 or 2 minutes.
  6. Serve in a tall glass and enjoy.

FreshFruitSmoothie

This 3 fruit recipe tastes great and you can mix and match any of your favorite fruits(always have the banana as one of the fruit, when possible, for smoothness). You will be amazed at the results.

Yes Eating For Energy will give you the boost you need, quickly to get the morning off just right. Everyone in the family can learn to make their own and you know it is healthy.

Fruit in the morning helps eliminate the waste in your body and supplies the fiber you need to get going right everyday.

Try it and spread the news. It is this simple.

Halloween Costumes-Perfect health-Eating for Energy

October 31st, 2010

I often wondered what Halloween had to do with eating, candy, fun, children… What a great time of year. So many fond memories of getting all dressed up and trick-or-treating around the neighborhood.

This time is for all children. They await this great event with a passion only paralleled with Christmas. Let you kids be kids. Eating for Energy is all about teaching values to our kids. What can we teach them about foods and food products during this festive time of the year?

  • Reward is a great way to teach kids the value of  food. Food that taste great is a part of our lives and teaching them has much to do with how they will feed themselves in the future.
  • Having a treat is great as long as they understand that “treat” means special occasions only.
  • Sugar will be a big part of their lives. Take this opportunity to explain the benefits of sugar and how important it is as part of a wholesome dietary plan. Accentuate the positives, always.
  • Let Halloween be the treat they await as “one” of the special moments in their lives.
  • Please, do not replace candy with “a healthy choice”. Chances are that healthy choice is not much better for their overall health.

Being in Perfect Health simply means to do the best you can with what is “all” around you. Teaching kids that candy is bad for them is an open invitation to eat as much of this “evil” as possible.

Remember that all foods are not bad for them but, not all foods are good for them.

Halloween can be part of a well balanced diet if you let it. Food comes in many forms and the mind processes all these foods as well as the stomach. Teach your kids something they can believe in, not just what you believe.

Letting Halloween be the festive part of your life it should be, will always give you an opportunity to talk about the reasons we need to Eat for Energy. Sugar has a huge part to play in our overall health.

Happy Halloween kids of the world.
