Eating For Energy-Understanding The Nutritional Lifestyle

August 1st, 2010

book_cover_webTrying to explain why Eating For Energy is a “Nutritional Lifestyle”, to many of you , might seem futile. Yuri has taken the time and energy to shout out, in this 320 page book, that all you have to do is listen, apply, put into action and what comes out the other end is the knowledge that it is “all in your mind”.

Having energy everyday is a new lifestyle to many. Feeling tired most of the time, then wondering just how you will get through the day, is much more common than most of us think. Be real here, I know how you feel. I was there and lost many years of my life because I was always sick and tired. You?

The greatest benefit from following Yuri on his Journey is that it continues all the time. This week he finally reveals the reasons why your mind is so important in the healing process of getting, maintaining and putting into action what he is about to share with us all.

Eating for energy smoothies and green juices nourish your body to liberate your mind. You begin to think more clearly and realize that their is this world in technicolor out there for you also. You begin to feel younger and more energized.

You will learn that eating on the run is normal as long as eating is not consuming all your energy. We have this vision of the importance of sitting down at the family table for breakfast, lunch and diner. I wonder where this all came from but I am much to busy to take all that time out of my busy day to “enjoy eating”. I need the fuel to energize my activities and supply the gas to get me through the day, everyday.

Page 17 he talks about “An Old New Way of  Viewing Foods”.

Page 13 he mentions “The Story of Bestafar”.

All this mambo jumbo stuff seems trivial when you first read the book . When you feel better you will be tempted and even intrigued as to how he put this all together. Believe me and take the tour once more, it is worth the ride. Eating For Energy.

Eating for Energy Smoothie and Juice Guide

July 29th, 2010

FreshFruitSmoothieI am often asked what I eat for breakfast in order to be always be in such a great mood. Well, besides, always having energy to enjoy the day, using the 50 pages of smoothie & juice guide that Yuri gave me with my Eating  For Energy book gives me ideas and combinations to more than fill 365 days of breakfast solutions.

If you have a busy lifestyle(who doesn’t), skipping breakfast is a great mistake. I did it for years and still suffer from it today. Always being tired and “out of gas” before lunch had been a problem for years until I learned why smoothies and juice were the ideal solution:

  1. They are quick to prepare in the morning or the night before.
  2. You can use fresh fruit from the freezer, blend with your own home made nut milk(always fresh) and in less than 5 minutes you are out the door.
  3. A quick get away in the morning when you are full of energy is the only solution. Just take the smoothie or juice with you, that’s all. Simple?

Digestibility of the drink in the morning is the key to a healthy breakfast success. Having a big breakfast use to make my stomach ache in the morning going to work. I think that is a big reason why we tend to skip it. We think we are doing our stomachs a favor, and maybe we where, but our energy levels have always suffered.

  • The whole eating thing as to do with what the food does for our bodies. Highly digestible foods, that quickly gets to our blood streams to give us energy without upseting our sleeping stomachs, is the key to smoothies and juices. You drink it, it goes through your stomach within minutes, is absorbed into your system and voila”, everyone is happy!
  • Smoothies and juice prepared from real fruits and vegetables(no store bought processed stuff for me) gives me all the vitamins and nutrition without the excess fibers and stomach discomforts.
  • Let your stomach breath and sleep easy every morning. Have a smoothie or a juice and your stomach will thank you for it. Believe me when I tell you that your energy level will jump. Try it for a week and let me know.

The variety will get your whole family involved. You will have a waiting list of everyone’s favorite. Each will have there own combinations and you will see beaming faces in the morning.(Have you ever seen Yuri not be beaming?)

You can have  a Spinach Pear Smoothie, page 310.

A Cinnamon Banana Smoothie, page 313.

The list goes on and on. I am trying to paint a breakfast picture for you here!

Eating For Energy Is The Backbone Of Good Health

July 27th, 2010

I just finished reading Yuri’s report on FitterThanthePros.com and realized how important Eating For Energy and all it’s teaching are to the success we all search in getting into the greatest health we need to be in. Please get this free report while it is available and tell as many friends as you can.

Eating For Energy gave me the knowledge I needed to help my kids and grandkids have a better life. Learning the truths about foods, milk products, processing, agricultural techniques, big companies and how they are involved and more was a revelation to me.

I assumed all my life that what my parents thought me about health, good eating habits and physical well being should be the model I pass on to my kids. Little did I know that they did not know what they were doing. I do not blame them, I blame society for not putting the effort to educate us all better.

Yuri has taken the time, the expertise and the knowledge and made it available to us all. He says it like it is. He is a leader in search of other leaders like us to help the children of the world get better education on what Eating For Energy is all about.

When I prepare my day, I always have a prayer for my kids and grandkids. The new knowledge I have learned has given me new hope. Everyone needs to learn what I know and I reach out to as many people as I can everyday.

This blog is a forum that gives me the opportunity to tell you and ask you to listen. Most overweight people I talk to listen politely and turn away. Maybe if more of us speak out about Eating For Energy the message will get across.

I am always amazed at how little I knew about food. I read labels, that I have had available, and cannot believe how little I knew. How important is the quality of the food that goes into your body? Start reading labels today.

The Title says it all: “Eating For Energy Is The Backbone Of Good Health”.

Benefits of Eating For Energy If You Suffer From Asthma

July 20th, 2010

human energyJune and July are terrible months for me most of time. I suffer from Asthma and have so since I was a child. I no longer take any medication ( I have an inhaler, just in case) anymore and Eating for Energy has thought me how food can help me in my own treatment.

Your lungs and heart have to work overtime, if you suffer from Asthma, just to supply the air and blood it takes to help you 1. breath, 2. eat and 3. eliminate the waste from your body.

As a child I often was really scared after I ate because my heart would race and my breath was always heavy shortly after or even when I was eating. Going to the bathroom was like running for miles it seemed. I would get all sweaty and had a hard time getting off the “bowl”. Asthma sufferers know what I am talking about here.

Having a green drink before or after a workout or before going to work changed my way of dealing with my Asthma. It helped take the fear away, and the pain.

Eating takes tremendous energy, the chewing, digestion and processing all happens before the benefits hit my blood stream, therefore the pain is all before the benefits. Having a green drink, as explained in Eating for Energy eliminates the chewing, digestion and elimination problems. Within one hour you feel the benefits as your body assimilates the nutrients it needs to give you the energy you need for the event you are getting ready for (work or play).

The last month has been hard for me, I will admit it. Asthma is with me for life, but Eating For Energy has helped me work with it instead of fearing it, if you know what I mean? I am able to function perfectly well even when my allergies act up, during my exercising and even at work. I now understand what I need to do in order to maximize my quality of life by eating smart and having easily digestible drinks all day long.

If you have no idea how hard your body works, to supply the air you need to breath and the blood it takes to keep you healthy, ask an Asthma sufferer and start understanding your bodies needs today.

Pierrette & I have our green juices everyday now and will for the rest of our lives. Thank you Yuri for helping us better understand ourselves with Eating For Energy.

Trying Something New-Your Body Will Love You

May 26th, 2010

corn on the cobTrying new dishes is something Pierrette & I agree is the most fun in Eating For Energy. We eat old food types in new and incredible ways. We are so a-typical as a society that eating junk is more of a habit than we know.

Last night I had corn on the cob, in a salad, uncooked and it was one of the most delicious meals I have ever had. Who would think of eating corn, right of the cob, uncooked, raw? I never would of thought of that. We all are use to eating it well cooked until it smells(mother and grandmother told us that),using as much butter and salt as possible, and eating until our gut hurts, right?

Yuri and Amy have taught me that eating food raw means to eat it the way it is intended. That only means to eat it without cooking it. Just eat it like eating an apple off the tree. Eat it like having carrots just pulled out of the ground or fresh pineapple from Hawaii, great.

My mouth waters just thinking of the great tastes Pierrette & I have discovered. Yes, I mean discovered, because we never ate any or most of our foods in their natural state. This is an incredible discovery for us. We are 58 and having great tasting foods everyday and enjoying it like children at Disneyland!

I could talk forever about how we feel, but taste it instead and tell us what you think. Here is the recipe:

Mexican Salad

Serves 2

2 corn on the cob

1 tomato,cubed

1 avocado,cubed

1 red pepper,cubed(not too big)

1/2 cucumber,cubed

1. De-cob corn using a knife, chop up additional ingredients bite size and add to a medium bowl.

2.Top with dressing of choice(I like the Simple Vinaigrette).

Simple Vinaigrette

Makes 1/4 cup

2-3 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp apple cider vinegar(the real stuff)

Juice of 1/2 lemon

Pinch of ground black pepper

Pinch of sea salt

1. Using a fork, whisk all ingredients in a cup and pour over salad.

Eating great tasting foods as this should be done in as much secrecy as possible. If you tell too many people it will spread so quickly and we will all be eating this way.

Thanks Yuri, Eating for Energy is a daily discovery that has changed our families lives forever.
